Our Salem notebook is named after Jerusalem, originally known as “Salem,” the place where God chose to reveal himself as the Messiah. This journal is sweet and minimal. The front cover features a honey bee, which signifies God’s blessings, love, wisdom, and strength.
The back cover features a line from the hymn “Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus.” It encourages us to gaze at Jesus so that the the things of this world might lose their grip on us, echoing the words of Psalm 123:1—“To you I lift up my eyes, O you who are enthroned in the heavens!” We pray that each time you pick up this notebook, you will experience the Lord’s “Salem”—the Hebrew word for peace—as you turn your eyes to him!
