The so called 'heresy hunters' and running about as little popes criticising left and right. They are like barking dogs.
They carry a Barking Dog Anointing
They have not been sent.
They have not been wise. (oh they think they are a fount of wisdom and discernment)
They have simply been offended — and offense, left to fester, breeds a counterfeit calling.
Watch them work.
They do not plant.
They do not water.
They do not weep over the harvest.
They circle it, sniffing for a flaw, and the moment they find one they bark themselves hoarse and call it discernment.
The barking-dog spirit is fast, gleeful, and aimed at reputation — theirs, not the wounded brother's. Real discernment is slow, sorrowful, and always aimed at restoration (Galatians 6:1 — "restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness").
Paul had a name for this. He warned Timothy about those who are "puffed up with conceit," who have "an unhealthy craving for controversy and for quarrels about words" (1 Tim 6:4). Unhealthy — νοσέω — like a disease. Controversy as appetite. That's not a gift, that's a sickness wearing a gift's clothing.
Correction that doesn't cost the corrector anything — no relationship, no risk, no tears, no private conversation first (Matt 18:15) — isn't correction. It's theater. And theater doesn't build the Church; it just gathers an audience around the wound.
I will continue to use the Passion and other translations to the max. The 'barking dogs' can bark and snarl and post comments and videos and warning ad infinitem — Some of these self-appointed watchmen have never done the work of actually knowing the Shepherd's voice; they've only memorized the sound of their own bark and mistaken volume for authority.
Unfortunately in 2026 the TPT turned out to be a total fraud. It is completely plagiarized and modified over the years to hide it. Brian Simmons lied over his career as a translator,
his credentials, his knowledge about Aramaic, Hebrew and Greek and eventually just copied passages from other different Bible translations (NLT, MSG), the heresy Bible "Mirror Translation" and from a suspicious website from 1995 claiming to give Aramaic translations from a secret and private Aramaic manuscript. He inserted fabricated footnotes on no linguistic basis and altered the Bibles theology. He copied without attribution and claimed it was his own translation. TPT initially claimed to be based on Aramaic primacy, but this is simply false, since the NT was written in Greek. Brian is full of lies and deception, making millions of revenue with this fraud.
Thought it was a complete
This translation is awesome. I appreciate all the work put into it
